Bill Wallace Research Collection, 1934-1961.

The collection includes material acquired by Fletcher while conducting research on his biographical volume on Bill Wallace, a Southern Baptist missionary to China. William (Bill) Wallace was a Southern Baptist medical missionary in China from 1935 to his death in 1951. He served as a doctor in the Stout Memorial Hospital. He died while imprisoned by Chinese Communists. The collection includes letters to Fletcher about Wallace, memoirs of co-workers of Wallace, news clippings, letters to and from Wallace, and Fletcher's research notes.
